In Cyacomb

I can’t believe it’s been nearly six years since my last post on here.  I’ve been so embedded in the business I was building I’ve not really stopped – and I’ve tended to write for its accounts rather than my own.  However, things are now changing again.

I’m incredibly proud of what I have accomplished with the team at Cyacomb, building a significant international customer base that is reporting ever more success is using our incredible technology to catch offenders and safeguard children.

However, as the company moves from proving the product across markets to scaling sales, it needs a sales focused leader with the skills and experience to help the company step up to the next level, and we’ve found that in Christopher Johnson. I’m really excited to be bringing him on board as Cyacomb’s CEO.

I’ve loved working with the team here and seeing the technology we spun out of Napier University grow into a product that is delivering real value and impact around the world. The best part of the job has been the stories we get back from the front line of law-enforcement about children rescued or safeguarded and offenders put behind bars.

Later in the year once I’ve helped Chris is settle in it will be time for me to find my next adventure!  I don’t know exactly what that will be yet.  My love for harnessing innovation to build practical products that are useful in the real world (and companies to deliver them) remains strong.  I’ve also become very invested in tech-for-good, and in using technology to make the online world safer for us, our communities, and especially for our children.  I’m just starting the process of exploring new opportunities in these areas now.  While I do that, I plan to post some of my highlights from building Cyacomb on here over the coming weeks.
