In CyberSecurity, Startup Management, Tools

I’m working on a Cyber Security project at the moment, and it has brought home to me just how many companies that are totally dependent on their IT don’t have even the basics of security in place.  It’s a dangerous world out there, and we all owe it to ourselves, our customers and our suppliers to secure our systems.

The UK government has recognised this problem, and has put together the Cyber Essentials scheme to help small businesses. It’s actually pretty good – I highly recommend investing a few minutes in taking the Self-Assessment questionnaire and downloading the guide.  Whether or not you got for the certification, if you take even one or two extra steps to secure your IT systems it is time well spent.
